I'’ll Love You (Swan Thong)

Seriously, how often do you get to rhyme estrogen? When we were going to record the sax part played by Steve Fitzgerald, I met him in the parking lot of the studio a little before we were to record. It was the only time we could do it and it turned out that Steve had never heard the song before, so we listened to it a couple of times while we sat in my Spyder. I explained the song like this to him: It'’s a fun song, a little sassy and naughty, but it's all about monogamy and that love and life can get better as you grow old together. ” “What a great message,” he told me and I had to agree. After the recording session he and his girlfriend had a drink, before they were to drive up towards the north end of the state for a gig. Steve called me on the phone, because he couldn'’t find his keys, "“Julie have you seen my keys?”" I hadn’'t seen them and he informed me that he was stuck in Middletown without them. “"Can you check in your car?"” he asked me. Well my Toyota MR2, “named Sydney,” only sits about 3 inches off the ground. When you sit down in her, you sit DOWN! Apparently when Steve sat down in my car his keys slid right out of his pocket and under the seat. I made the trek back to Middletown and Steve made it to his gig on time.

lyrics

I’'ll Love You (Swan Thong)

1) When I was young and full of estrogen, I lived to take care of everyone
Now I have changed, been rearranged, I’m not the same woman that I used to be

Chorus:
I might be too old to wear that thong, but you know, you know, you know,
We still got it going on,
You still make me laugh, you make me cry,
I’ll love you till the day I die.

2) You will always be the man for me, but its time for me to take care of me
But you like me strong, so you come along, ‘cause I still take time for you and you for me

Chorus:
I might be too old to wear that thong, but you know, you know, you know,
We still got it going on,
You still make me laugh, you make me cry,
I’ll love you till the day I die.
Bridge:
Let’s grow old together, did you ever think we’d be that pair holding hands every where?

3) I love the ride, that you provide, the ups the down I’m always by your side, ‘cause as you know the more we grow, the better, the better we become

Chorus:
I might be too old to wear that thong, but you know, you know, you know,
We still got it going on,
You still make me laugh, you make me cry,
I’ll love you till the day I die.

Julie Clark Shubert South Carolina

If you listened to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, and every rocking song you could get your hands on from 1966 to now and stirred it up with a Fender Strat and sang it from a woman's perspective, you would have Julie Clark Shubert "From the Inside Out." When Julie turned 50, her husband gave her a Fender Strat, the stars aligned and her natural gift appeared, the rest is kinda a blur. ... more
