about

Will I Ever See?

Ok, maybe I wasn’t having my best day when I wrote this song. I find it amazing that no matter how old I am, I can still find myself in a situation where I feel like I’m in 8th grade -- not a pleasant experience for me, I must say. The more approval was withheld from me, the more desperate I became to acquire it. I just want to mention that this song is not written about Gary or actually any man.
Dave really understood this song, so I asked him to write and perform the solo part. What is so cool is that Emily had already recorded her cello part where she had laid down all sorts of movement, it sounds like they recorded it together its so perfectly paired, but that wasn’t the case. Dave listened to her part for a while then recorded his solo over her cello performance. I cried while he played, it was so beautiful and tragic all at the same time, it was …perfect.

lyrics

Will I Ever See

1) You walk in the room, sucking up the oxygen so fast, I gasp to breathe like a fish on the shore

Chorus:
When will I ever see there’ll never be enough room for me, when will I ever see there’ll never be enough room for me, and your silence is all the disapproval that I need…

2) I was taught to give and receive, but there is just nothing coming my way, except for you disregard

Chorus:
When will I ever see there’ll never be enough room for me, when will I ever see there’ll never be enough room for me, and your silence is all the disapproval that I need…

3) I can’t put it out there anymore you’ve snatched right away so many times before, it’s gone, it’s gone.

Chorus:
When will I ever see there’ll never be enough room for me, when will I ever see there’ll never be enough room for me, and your silence is all the disapproval that I need…

Julie Clark Shubert South Carolina

If you listened to the Beatles and the Rolling Stones, and every rocking song you could get your hands on from 1966 to now and stirred it up with a Fender Strat and sang it from a woman's perspective, you would have Julie Clark Shubert "From the Inside Out." When Julie turned 50, her husband gave her a Fender Strat, the stars aligned and her natural gift appeared, the rest is kinda a blur. ... more
